Gallerie de Bellefeuille Toronto - September 10 - 20, 2020
Hollywood dominated the cultural landscape during the Great Depression of the 1930’s, and for just a few cents, you could go to the theatre and forget your troubles for a short while. This exhibit is a tribute to the fascinating female performers who uplifted the masses during that time. Garments worn by stars of the era made a huge impact on what women wanted to wear and how they wished to be seen. The often-emulated styles of the 1920’s and 30’s reflect the epitome of high fashion in the minds of many.
